Maximilian Lill, one of the greatest hopes in German show jumping.
Born in Bavaria, he has been on horseback since childhood and ambitiously sticks to his goals. At the age of 14, Maxi was awarded the Golden Riding Badge. In the Junior and Young Rider Camp, two European Championships took place, as well as the German Champion title 2012 in Aachen. Furthermore he could celebrate many national and international placings and victories on S**** level.
At the moment our team rider is stationed in Lower Saxony to master the next step in his career. Our major sporting goal is to establish ourselves in international sport up to 5* level, to continue to have the opportunity to have talented horses under saddle and, of course, more and more the path to independence. With our performance and lifestyle collection we support Max in his career.
Of course, all this would not be possible without the sports partners and the well-rehearsed team. Among the top horses are Checkers, Axor Mouche, G.Breaker and Capitale. One of Max’s strengths is to accompany and successfully present talented horses from the young age into the difficult sport.
Determination, friendliness and horsemanship describe Maximilian Lill, which is why we are very happy to have him on board with us.
Four questions to Max Lill
Laguso: What does your week look like if you had a tournament on the weekend?
Max Lill: “Mondays I’m always in the stable at 8 o’clock. No matter when we come home from the tournament on Sunday night. The horses that were at the show are allowed to relax. After we have them in front of us and check their physical health, they go to the padock or the paddock. Then I ride the other horses that were not at the show. There are also a lot of things to do on Mondays that I don’t have time for on normal days when I ride 8-9 horses. Like for example cleaning up the truck, washing everything and doing organizational things.
On Tuesdays I ride 8 – 9 horses, mostly five in the morning and four in the afternoon. We try to bring a lot of variety into our daily work. I ride a lot of dressage, do gymnastics or take the horses to the racetrack. We train parcour sections that didn’t go well at the show. It is very important to me that the horses get a lot of fresh air. The management of the horses as well as the organisation at home in the stable is very important for me as a self-employed person and must be well planned. In the season on Wednesdays we usually go to the show again.”
Laguso: Without what could you not live?
Max Lill: “I couldn’t live without my friends”.
Laguso: What is your favourite part of Laguso?
Max Lill: “Of course the tournament shirt Max Sky ;-)”
Laguso: Do you have a certain ritual before the course?
Max Lill: “On the way to the course, I think about going through the course again. I concentrate on the strengths of my horse and myself in order to start with a good feeling.
My motto is “Trust the quality of your horse. “
